Resources for Leaders and Parents

  • Scout Advancement Trackers
The link above will open in a new browser window and take you to a web page where you can download spreadsheets to track your Cub Scouts' advancement. These are awesome tools and make it a simple matter to keep track of which boy has accomplished what, what awards a boy is due, and even when the award has been presented. Spreadsheets are available for all levels of cub scouting.
  • Adult Uniform Inspection Form
This document identifies proper placement of various insignia for the Cub Scout adult uniform. Click here for insignia placement on the youth uniform. Both are PDF files that will open in a separate window.

Cub Scouting Ideals
Here are the basic ideals expressed in the day-to-day life of the Cub Scout and his leaders.

Tiger Cub Promise
I promise to love God,
my family, and my country,
and to learn about the world.

Tiger Cub Motto
Search, Discover, Share.

Cub Scout Promise
I, (name), promise to do my best
To do my duty to God and my country,
To help other people, and
To obey the Law of the Pack.

Cub Scout Motto
Do Your Best.

Law of the Pack
The Cub Scout follows Akela.
The Cub Scout helps the pack go.
The pack helps the Cub Scout grow.
The Cub Scout gives goodwill.

Colors
The Cub Scout colors are blue and gold. The blue stands for truth and spirituality, steadfast loyalty, and the sky above. The gold stands for warm sunlight, good cheer, and happiness. Together, they symbolize what Cub Scouting is all about.

Activity Award Requirements
The Sports and Academic Program is an optional program for all Cub Scouts. It is not part of the normal requirements towards ranks (except where used in obtaining the Webelos Sportsman and Athlete activity badges). Its purpose is to assist the Scouts in learning a new skill, or improving one they already posses.
